CRAFTSMAN SHUTTERS are guaranteed as follows:
1. The construction of interior wood panels, including framing and hanging strips when installed by Craftsman for 25 years; otherwise guaranteed for 15 years.
2. Our standard white and off white finishes (Interior Shutters only) are guaranteed against cracking, peeling, fading and severe discolouration for 15 years. Interior Shutters with a custom paint or stain finish are guaranteed against cracking and peeling for 2 – 5 years depending on the quality of paint/stain selected.
3. The construction of exterior wood shutters, installed by Craftsman is guaranteed for 7 years.
4. The finish on exterior wood shutters, when finished with oil based exterior paint or stain is guaranteed for 3 years against cracking and peeling.
5. All claims must be forwarded to Craftsman in writing (by mail, fax or email) and must also include a copy of the original invoice.
6. When the original installation was completed by Craftsman, this Warranty includes one full year of no-charge in-home repairs. (Meaning that Craftsman will make a service call and complete the warranty repair at no charge.)
7. For all other shutter purchases, and for the balance of the warranty period on Craftsman installed Shutters the repair is no charge, but a service fee will be charged if Craftsman needs to pick up or deliver the repaired shutter/parts.
8. Any changes made to the originally purchased shutters/installation will void this warranty.
9. Craftsman is happy to professionally refinish existing shutters in a new colour and provide a new "finish only' warranty.
10. Craftsman Shutters shall not be responsible for any loss or damage occasioned by or due to strikes, fires, customer misuse, accidents, water, and inability to procure materials or other causes beyond Craftsman Shutters control.
11. When a warranty claim is not the result of a defect in workmanship (production, finishing or installation) our regular service fees will apply.
