SHUTTER OPERATING SYSTEMS

The basic mechanics of shutters is that something connects the louvers so that they follow suit opening and closing as one unit. Craftsman has two main operating systems:

Push Rod: The wooden tilt rod that is most often centered in the shutter panel, or off to one side.

Klearview: a very thin metal rod attached at the very edge of each louver on the back side (towards your window glass) of the shutter panel.

The Klearview advantage: a cleaner, contemporary look, better view out your windows as well as faster, easier cleaning of your shutters.
