The purchase and installation of shutters is a long term investment! Your shutters will be built to last for 25 years. We recommend that you take the time to envision the louver size in your space, in your windows. Think about the light, or lack of light that your window(s) afford. Do you want to enhance your view of the outdoors, or hide the view? Some things to keep in mind when deciding on a louver size: Consider this: when in an open position, the smaller the louver, the less view you will have, Oceanview will provide the greatest view through your window, traditional the least. Conversely, when the louvers are closed, larger louvers will spill less light as there are fewer of them. More louvers = more light leakage. Now, light leakage is part of what makes shutters so desirable - it is the elemant that instantly creates atmosphere and ambiance a room. But it is up to you to weigh all the elements and choose the louver size that best suits your home, your needs, your lifestyle.
